Get a clue how to spell first. Then, when you've figured out how to spell, then you'll hopefully be ready for lessons on the statistical likelihood of humans with freakishly flat-footed and primitive looking feet hobnobbing about in remote creek beds in the middle of wilderness areas. Once you've absorbed that, (if you can), then you'll be ready for lessons on the nuances of hominid foot characteristics....good luck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-3989821033556279162010-05-28T18:16:35.190-05:002010-05-28T18:16:35.190-05:00We were a bit over a mile from the nearest road.We were a bit over a mile from the nearest road.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04826671773555271744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-69766709002151601292010-05-28T15:57:47.970-05:002010-05-28T15:57:47.970-05:00Not much of an arch, if any, is visible, and the w...Not much of an arch, if any, is visible, and the way the big toe is separated from the other toes seems aberrant. I said the same thing in my post. I also was clear to say I can't absolutely rule out a human as the track maker. I did say that based on the TOTALITY of the evidence I personally found that a human as the culprit was unlikely.

This is just my opinion, of course. You are welcome to yours. Just understand that I am basing my opinion on more than just the size of the track. The reason I started this site was so I could express my opinion on a variety of topics. I am fully aware that many won't agree with my opinion and that is ok.

I would caution that simply throwing out the track based solely on the size is a mistake. After all, if you accept the possibility the species is real, then you would probably agree that these animals are not born standing 7 feet tall, weighing 600 lbs. and sporting 17 inch feet. At various points in their development they are going to be considerably smaller.

However, you are correct in that the track is within the human range. Though based on the isolated location where the tracks were located, the presence of all sorts of debris in the creek, poisonous snakes, lack of an obvious arch in the print, etc. I think it is entirely POSSIBLE these tracks were made by the target species. Are these proof? No. However, they are compelling, at least to me, and warrant further investigation. That is all I am trying to get across.

Also, the comparison photo using the Patterson-Gimlin cast photo was simply meant to show similar characteristics between the prints. It was not intended to mislead anyone on the size of the SE Texas print, which was much smaller. If that was the impression given it was unintentional. Chalk that up to my not being a great writer.

I should have the castings in my possession by this weekend. I will then be able to publish the exact measurements you wanted to see. Maybe they will clear some of these questions up one way or the other.

I appreciate your interest.Mikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04826671773555271744noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-81338973127725895912010-05-26T22:26:08.574-05:002010-05-26T22:26:08.574-05:00OK.....if these are 15 inches long and 5 1/2 wide ...OK.....if these are 15 inches long and 5 1/2 wide , then you might have something, but i can see still no answer as to the 1st question.
The Patterson/Gimlin tracks from the film where very large.....and with your Garmin in the pics....it's clear these are not out of the human range AT ALLAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-53968958825880470742010-05-25T16:00:47.257-05:002010-05-25T16:00:47.257-05:00More like (cousin Bob) was out checking the moonsh...More like (cousin Bob) was out checking the moonshine still..nice story though...good luck.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-56027032812687271942010-05-25T00:52:51.399-05:002010-05-25T00:52:51.399-05:00dude my feet are that big.dude my feet are that big.garywilburnnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-81346368205397727822010-05-24T15:41:38.662-05:002010-05-24T15:41:38.662-05:00length??
