The edge of town are thickly grown and have a lot of space to allow animals to roam either through the wooded areas, tall grasses, or shaded creeks. It was roughly 4am the moon was full and the area was brightly lit.

The shadow literally shot across the road and yard in two leaps, it was long and I had to convince myself that I saw it, until my wife turned to me and said what was that?a cat or a person on all fours?

The area it darted towards is heavily wooded and if it weren’t in my neighbors yard I’d go check for tracks.

Sep3 2020 4amAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00558411641117553010noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-54135587316851719922020-01-18T11:34:49.370-06:002020-01-18T11:34:49.370-06:00was out riding around by nueces county tx right ou...was out riding around by nueces county tx right outside ague dulce back in 1964-65 I was around 4 or 5 as me my dad and brother were on one of the back roads we saw a black panther on side of road.my dad shot and wounded it.we got off the car and went looking for it but couldn't find it.it's been 55 years ago and I still remember exactly what I sawAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15770121620814454956noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3810009914256696264.post-3936039465512596822019-01-21T21:36:46.001-06:002019-01-21T21:36:46.001-06:00It was some time between 2009 and 2011. Somewhere on that route I saw a giant black cat (larger than a bobcat and smaller than a mountain lion with shorter legs) trotting across the 4 lane highway West to East from one pasture to another. It was a flat stretch of land. The panther or whatever had rounded ears and a tail that was shaped like a sausage that did not taper with a rounded end. After I told some old timers about it they said there had been recent sightings about 60 miles to the East. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
